Chasing The Light in the Celtic Latitudes. Day 3: Caerphilly Castle, Wales Here's one photo from that proves the two premises of this expedition: 1) The late afternoon light at these latitudes, at this time of year, is extraordinary; 2) you can't rush these things.

Caerphilly Castle in South Wales, one of the few fortresses in the country NOT associated with Edward I and his “ring of iron” that kept the Welsh in check after his conquest.
